fishing the main lake from shore is best with ghost minnows tight-lined on the bottom.. did that for years up at Birch Creek park.. seine a few shad and ghost minnows and run for hours up and down the shore to the pole with the drag singing.. works on hybrids too!

I sure wanted to join the seining fun, but my buddy tapped out on me and said he didn't want to go. Too bad I have a honey-do list a mile long to do tomorrow. It looks like it would be a nice day to be out there again......and now I have a few teenage boys to drag along to help.

Can you seine in the evening and fish into the dark, or do the baitfish not come up like in the mornings? I have been at Big Creek in that little cut by the boat ramp before when every baitfish in the whole lake seemed to be stacked in that one spot.

Long as wind is blowing on the bank, bait will be there.

I received my certificates for the hybrid, white bass and buffalo I caught below the dam. Website should be updated the first week in April.

J-Moe, that's a real Texas slam there! Welcome to the club. I got mine below the dam also. Those awards are very cool!

Thanks, I also own the State Private Water Body Fly records for long ear sunfish, green sunfish and hybrid redear x green sunfish. I enjoy pan fishing. Just happened to catch some hybrids and buffalo in the process, LOL!!!
