I own a 45qt and last month ordered another. These are very high quality coolers. The RTIC is actually 45qts, so if you do an ice test it will always outlast the YETI, simply because it holds more ice ( the YETI 45 comes in at about 38qts!). At half the price I had to try them, which has afforded me two at the price of one YETI! The RTIC is worth the wait!

I tried to get one back in August when they first announced on Facebook. August came and they said it would be October. October came and they said wait three more months. I cancelled after that.

I went ahead and ordered. Hopefully I'll get it before summers over. I got the 65.

Don't know about the coolers but the two or three tests I've seen, the YETI cup held Ice longer than the RTIC

Get an Engel. If your a CAT member you get VIP pricing which is very close to RTIC cost and you can have it next week.

Guess if I ever wear these three Yeti's out, I may have to look around at new offerings...I am always interested in the BEST VALUE available when I purchase items. When I upgraded to Yeti's there was no competing product available at any price...looks like Yeti set a new bar for others to follow (which is good). I upgraded because I got tired of paying 100 bucks for a POS cooler that sucked ice like it was going out of style...I have saved enough money via reduced ice expenses to more than pay for the Yeti's the very first year of service! In fact, I started filling up gallon milk jugs and freezing them and I don't seem to ever purchase ice anymore. My first stop used to be getting two or three bags of ice before hitting the lake...now I don't ever do that...

Now that said, if Laner says those Orion's are good, I am trusting that, because I have seen first hand the abuse his coolers go through! Also, these RTIC coolers...just wait till they get a container in and you won't have to pay 6 months in advance...or just go get another cooler and use it right away... 2cents

Here's a video you may be interested in. Note how well the cheaper Coleman Extreme box holds ice compared to the Yeti.
