My 02 - If it is on a boat you are buying I would purchase based on the boat, trailer, accsy, price only. The motors have no resale, and were a big part of putting OMC out of business.

That motor has zero value. Sorry if that's disappointing. Now of course there will be the one guy that will come on and brag about his worry free johnrude ficht motor, but I assure you for every one happy there's 80 unhappy tales of woe.

I owned one. Buy the boat without the motor or walk away. Parts are almost nonexistent now and there is no factory support. I bought mine new and the first year the powerhead and ecu were both replaced twice. Never had confidence in that motor again. The motor I run now is black and I couldn't be happier! Just my 2 cents worth.
