Wife watches the show "fixer upper" Now she's wanting me to put shiplap up around our fireplace. Is there anywhere around ft worth that sales it? I've googled it but not much luck.

Yes, I think so.

You can get pine siding for houses and mount it inside out. Thus giving you an overlap that looks like shiplap. Here is a picture of my fireplace, before and after.

If you buy some make sure it's clean of worms or termites.

I have seen it Home Depot and Lowe's and couple of other building supply places sell it in 1"x6" and 1"x8". I wanted a cabin style look to my house and we used 1"x10" western red cedar with a 2 part stain. The job came out fantastic a beautiful look but the up keep was a pain in the azz every 2 to 3 years it had to be restained. If you use it inside you will never have that problem just stain it put poly over.

If she watches "Fixer Upper" regularly you will be hunting for french doors, new hard wood flooring, crown molding, tile back splash and all new cabinets, counters, an island, and appliances in your kitchen.

Go to "Parental Control" and Block out Fixer Upper.

Check out the lumber yards in your area, they'll have it.

All lumber yards will sell it. I am not talking about Lowes or Home Depot.
Buy new and google how to distress new lumber and then use weathered wood stain .
