Well I think I am finally gonna be able to slip away to fish a bit this weekend. Just wondering what the board thinks this warm spell might do to the bass. Looks like 70s for the weekend with strong south wind. Could really warm up the water in certain spots.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Might help a bit. I'll be looking for coves and creeks facing south or any corners that the wind will be blowing into. Those areas will warm up first.

Should make for a great "hot rock" pattern.

Should make for a great "hot rock" pattern. Yup. Look for shallow rocks and you'll find them.

I would start looking for fish to stage on typical pre spawn areas like creek channel swings and ditches. I would also assume if you where catching fish on drop offs near flats or on flats near drop offs that there would be more fish pulling up onto these flats to feed and roam around with the warmer weather.

The water temps are not near as low as they usually are this time of year. It should help the bite quite a bit if I were guessing though. There might be some good ones up shallow.

Not sure what it will do for the fish but I bet my rod guides don't freeze up like they were last Saturday!

The fish, if smart, will run and hide. Every boat that hasn't seen water since November will be on the water this weekend. Adding them to the guys like my that are out every weekend, rain, snow, sleet, wind, or shine.

Not sure what it will do for the fish but I bet my rod guides don't freeze up like they were last Saturday! Wow....no doubt. My rod boxes were frozen shut at the ramp. Had to use a pry bar to break em open. Then my carpet and seats had frozen mist all over them from the "Fairfield Fog". 4 hours later I was sweating and peeling off layers. Go figure. Texas.

It makes them swim faster Because of the 20+ mph winds?
