Looking to load up my MajorCraft MS-X 6.9M/BF casting rod with a finesse bait casting reel...Thoughts on a good one? overall weight is important...so far i'm looking at the Daiwa Steez SV103xs and shimano aldebaran 50...Any other ideas out there. This will mainly be a DS and Shaky head rod. Thanks!

Shimano Aldebaran 50

I have 2 of these reels and I love em'! They're my favorite reels that I have. They're great for everything from crankbaits to tiny shakey heads and drop shots. They're super smooth on the retrieve and they seem to be holding up to ruthless abuse. Definitely worth the money if you ask me. Get one!!!

TD sol or the new daiwa sv105 or a Shimano core those are the ones I have used with great success.

I have a steez 103 and really like it for drop shotting and throwing a shaky head. I also love Shimano reels but haven't tried the aldebaran 50. Im sure I would like it also.

The Steez will throw a wacky rigged trick worm very well also.

Stick with the Steez Carlos. The Aldebaran is a nice reel but not on par with the Steez.

You may also want to look at one of these.

http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Daiwa_SS_Air_Casting_Reel/descpage-SAIR.html

I haven't used one yet but may be worth a look.

I have several of the highend Shimanos and they are very nice but not the quality of the Steez.

That what i've been looking at Ken....I saw them today and the specs are pretty good. Thanks all for the feedback!

I have a Finesse bait caster similar, but it's Abu Garcia with light line. It actually has worked out well for me lol.
