Anybody ever fish this lake? If so, are you catching anything and what are you catching them with?

I grew up 15 minutes from this lake. The fish in my sig is from there. If I was there tomorrow I would hit all the obvious staging areas and I wouldn't be afraid to fish shallow or muddy water. And if you hook into a fish on this lake that treats you like a b your not alone.

Exactly what toadrustler said. Go extreme north end around the creeks. Don't be afraid of the muddy water. Spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, and traps all work great. But.. you can pretty much catch them anywhere on the lake though. Just go and figure them out!

Not meaning to high jack the thread but I have a question about running the lake. When going north toward the upper end of the lake is there standing timber to worry about? Should I be idling when I get past the power lines?
P.S. The fish in my sig came from nac as well, it's one of my favorites!

I haven't spent much time on the lake in the last five years. There is timber both going into Yellow Bank and heading straight north toward the far upper end. One of my buddies hit one going into Yellow Bank years ago. The impact stopped his Ranger. We couldn't believe it didn't knock a hole in the hull.

I need to go back and fish it again. All I had back then was a canoe to fish out of. Before the canoe, all I could do was fish from the bank.

generally the area in the center of the screen should be avoided, you can run it for the most part when its full, but I wouldn't.
the area on the bank to the east, I don't think you'd run anyways.
the dot are stumps that are usually visible, but there are a few round those visible ones also.
As soon as the lake gets 6-7 feet low things start changing.
Hope this helps, have fun.
