Im looking at a boat with a 2006 honda 225 on it does anybody know if this is a good motor or did they have problems with it.

try the Honda forum at bassboatcentral.com Great place for information.
Also if you can get the serial # off the motor call a Honda marine dealer and they should be able to pull the repair history of that motor for you.

Honda's are bullet proof. probably not the lightest or fastest. But I'd bet it'll live a long life void of major problems...
