I was tying with marabou and also doing some with silicone skirts but finally decided to try out hackle. This is my version of the Electric Chicken. I call it Pinky the Chicken. It's 1/8oz #2 jighead.

Nice tie, I like Pinky. Most of the people I fish with or tie for want the long feathers on hackle going up in the water. Not sure what it does, I don't use it enough.

I may have to start using hackle, or learn how to die feathers. It is getting hard to find good marabou these days.

Good color and should catch crappie!
Jig Man think the marabou I get is always been good, but it's never been what I would call cheap! Matter of fact last order I got a new color they started this year and it looks excellent as far as I can tell. I just have not dug into it as had too many other things to do.

Thanks guys! I really like tying with both hackle and marabou, the hackle seems to have a little more pop to it. I am gonna ask some SLABS what they prefer! Lol
