So I have just one day off this week. I really want to hook a few. I usually bank for bass but my spots on grapevine are all still flooded. So I'm thinking crappie. I won't ask for your secret spot or honey hole. I'm just wondering what creeks are hot. WR, RC? Please help a guy enjoy his day off and maybe bring home dinner. Thanks!

Wrc should be good brother . Dark colors are working the best. It has been slow the last few nights but hopefully it picks up. First bend and second are good spots.

A lot of people that post on this site ,Post just to show off their catch . I'm here to Learn and to help with what I can. I have sent pms to people asking for tips and they wouldn't even reply. Especially a few that I don't want to name. They know who they are!! Anyway I will be out tonight I'll let u know how I do cyclefish.

well I didn't get skunked but just one little bass on a square lip crank bait. that was it, just four cast in and i got bit. I thought it was gonna be hot but alas not. Where they were catching them, I would have been standing shoulder to shoulder. Not much action. I saw a few keeper taken most were thrown back. I will go earlier next time as one guy said there were killin it early.

Alot of people are apprehensive to post exact locations where the fish are stacking up good for more than just personal reasons. Its also a public broad cast to poachers who set up gill nets and use cast nets to illegally catch game fish. Same thing goes during the sand bass run. So don't be offended. Hopefully some people will PM you with some spots to go catch some.

I haven't even tried to go this year. I'm still wanting to to. I even bought everything I need to go. I have scouted one place I'll call it diarrhea creek cause it was nasty chocolate milk colored and maybe 3ft deep and I didn't waste my time. The Lavon dam is loaded with sand bass right now saw that even with 12 gates open people were hauling them out. They were using surf casting gear and casting way out from the wall. Also saw people fishing from the new road at the 78 bridge. Really fast moving water so if anyone goes be safe I grew up in Wylie and heard tons of stories about people drowning there some were trying to use a jon boat and ended up flipping it and loosing their life. Definitely don't take your kids there.
