I've read a few post here that people have had aluminum trailers snap in half. It's amazing that trailers are cr@p now adays.

Hmmm. I've never heard that. I have heard about some twisting if hit or bad road issues. Didn't know how true that was. I have a 2000 tube trailer. I'm sure I'll need a new one eventually I just put all new axles and brakes and springs. Hope it last 3 more years

Call Coleman's Portable welding in Arlington. He might come down and fix it for you. Great guy and an even better fabricator. He should be able to give you a rough estimate of what it will cost but if it's rusted that bad you might want to think about replacing it anyway.

Pics?, as noted you can't weld rust.
Cold galvanized aerosol spray on any clean bare steel will help reduce the rust.
I look at it like putting zinc anodes on a trailer.

I need to get the boat off the trailer but i hope that the roached part can be cut out. I'm a tech dummy, don't know how to post pics.

Every time I need something welded I take it to the nearest muffler shop. Done right then.

I have a friend that bought a trailer from the Sscott mentioned above. Treated him good. He also had a 2003 skeeter box style trailer. He found one the same color as the original and worked great.
