They are good but if you need quick service they can be as much as 2 months.

Southwest Parts is great. Good people. If you want you reel back faster ship it to them in the mail.

I used to go to southwest parts but the turn around time is horrible. They make you pay an extra $10 to get them back within a reasonable time.
One time, I didn't pay this and my reel was there for over 2 months
I take mine to fishin world and Robert has a guy that will do them in a week or so

I can turn them around within 24-48 hours depending on how many you send

Sorry to report but never again for me and using Southwestern Parts for reel repair or cleaning. I once took some reels in to have cleaned and a couple of them serviced. Needed them after about 2 months I called them and was told they'd be ready the next week and that they would call. No call from them so I call them as I am leaving in a couple of days, and they tell me they don't service the brand I took in (Okuma) because they couldn't get parts. Why didn't they have the decency to tell me that when I took them in? Went and picked them up and got them done elsewhere. No problem getting parts. Really ticked me off because I had to buy some replacement reels to use on my trip. The guy I used then is no longer doing the work so I now take my reels and have Anglers Pro Tackle in North Richland Hills send them out to their guy. Good turn around time, fair prices and good work.

Not exactly in Dallas but I've had customer's ship me their reels or I can be pretty flexible in meeting you at certain locations as well. Turnaround time is generally whatever you need it to be! 03svtsnakevert is also a good choice with quick turnaround. Southwestern are good people but I have heard on several different occassions from different people that they take anywhere from 1-2 months. Most guys cant wait that long.

My experiences getting my Shimano reels serviced at Southwest has been bad. Now I send them back to Shimano and get them back in a fraction of the time feeling absolutely new for less money.
