Just finished tying these.... ..........before the packaging has been delivered. Oh well - made for a unique picture. When I was moving the completed jigs off my work station, I threw them on a plate (to help with relocation). Something made me wonder how many plate fulls of fish these 1/2 full plates of jigs might generate: This made over 1300 jigs tied for me in just over 9 days of tying. Seeing as I'm working out of tupperware bins, on a makeshift work station.... and the fact that I have to drag oven, gun, paints, etc... out each time I paint, this is a LOT of work for me. I think I could tie 300-500 in an 8 hour day, if I had a complete office set up. A few numb fingertips later, and it's back to non-bulk creations...

And for everyone's edification, Jerry has donated these 500 jigs to the CAT junior angler program. Jerry is packaging these in 5 packs to be given to junior anglers at various CAT events. True sportsmanship and a giving heart. Thanks Jerry for your generosity.

Nice jigs Jerry and a good place to send to have more room to keep going. I have never done 500 in 8 hours but have done it a number of times in a long day. Never was fast at jig tying.

Although for a good cause it would not be fun tying that many jigs in any one weeks span..... That just turned tying into "WORK".....

You belong in a factory with that kinda production! Not to get on a soapbox, but this year I've lost two of my heroes... both of which are responsible for 100% of my childhood fishing. We buried "Paw" last Saturday and Dad early this year. Haven't fished in over a year and grew up around it. Giving out jigs to the Jr. Anglers is something I've done (anonymously) before and it made me feel so happy to donate. Tying all these jigs the last week or so has been great therapy for me. Since I can't fish right now, tying is the only thing keeping me sane. I'll soon be able to fish again, little as it might be. In the meantime, I'm averaging 120 - 150 jigs/day.

Totally understandable....you've limited out each day you've tied so that's sorta like limits of crappie if'n ya ask me.....WTG bud....

Really nice of you to donate the jigs for sure! So sorry to hear of your losses and that is no small matter! I remember when I was tying that 120 a day, but a few years of that and I didn't want any more of that much tying so why I backed away a good bit. Thankfully I still get enough orders in to help keep me as busy as want to be. I also enjoy dabbling with materials.
Nice Jigs too BTW!
