 Good Avet reel for pier and surf

Hey guys, which castable Avet reel would you recommend for pier and surf fishing? (Bull reds,big uglies, jacks, sharks) Also which rod would be good with it? (8-12 ft range) and would it need to be atleast medium heavy for casting distance.

No experience with Avets, but a cheaper option might be Penn Squall. I have a Squall 15 and a Pro Angler 10' that I can cast pretty well with. I've heard good things about the Ocean Master and Ugly Stik Tiger rods too.

all Avets are castable
bull reds,jacks etc- JX or LX hi speed
