Depends on the baits you hang off it. A fully loaded A-rig can weigh upwards of 4-5 oz depending on the baits you choose. I throw it on 25# fluoro. You can also throw it on braid but it is a lot of weight. If you have a mid-air backlash, it will snap 50# braid like its nothing. If you want to be sure to not lose it, I would recommend 65# braid.

True, but I like the fact that my Braid floats, so mid-air backlashes can still be recovered if enough line was let out before it snaps.

I prefer 20 lb fluoro. I can cast it better than braid and I don't have to worry about it snapping off mid-cast from a loop catching like braid does from time to time.

20-25 lb mono or flouro will prevent casting off the bait due to backlash

I throw an A-Rig on 20lb Invizex. I've experienced the braid snap like Ken A. mentioned and watched a good $35 lure fly farther and faster than I thought I could throw.

Y'all must be throwing it nowhere near anything. I would bust off with 20 or 25 in 5 casts.

65# braid minimum if you fish that thing on a lake with timber. Open water lake, no timber, you could use mono or fluoro.
