I posted this on the kayak fishing forum, but thought I'd drop it in here too. I took a buddy of mine out to do a little fishing this past weekend and we had a little luck I'd say. Hope you enjoy the pictures below! Me with the biggest catch of the day. Probably around 4.5 to 5 lbs Another nice river bass My friend Tim with one of his best of the day We caught countless more in the 1-2 pound range along with our fair share of "how the heck did a bass that small get my lure in his mouth" type of fish. We definitely had a blast!

Very nice. I have floated the Llano & South Llano more times than I can count over many years. Always a great fishery & beautiful. Rented a house on the river in Castell this last summer for a week & loved it. Love several Texas rivers in that area but the Llano is always my favorite.

Yep, it's tough to beat the floating and fishing on the South Llano/Llano Rivers. Great scenery plus great fishing! You've probably driven by my parents place a few times. They live on HWY 377 South right near the Flatrock river crossing on the south side of town.

Cove isn't too terribly far away. 2.5 hours of so I would think. You should definitely make the trip down this way sometime. Feel free to PM me if you're around or need info on the area. I could offer a few pointers about public river crossings and such. A number of people in the Junction area have cabins on the river for rent, and then of course there is South Llano River State Park about 5 miles out of town that has camping/RVing. I actually used to work there during summers while still in school. It's a really nice little state park.
