Has anyone fished Southlake lately? There were a lot of weeds and pads when I was there a few months ago.

Ive been going all summer and haven't seen hardly any pads. The flood killed them all. You talking about the Southlake in Farmersville?

Yeah, Farmersville. It was a while when I kayak there, might be over 3 months ago. How's fishing there?

Overall its good. Theres a random day here and there that it sucks. Lots of dinks with the occasional 18" big fish. Winter time is the time to catch the big girls, because theyre in there

I haven't had much luck lately. I fished there this summer when the pads were all over and never caught much over 15". I went a few weeks back and it was really slow with lots of dinks. Sounds like you may want to find a way to go when SpiderJig is there cause he knows where the big ones are.

Bummer. Sounds like I'll never be able to catch them then cause I'll be at home by the fire on those types of days. Ha!
