Went to Pool this afternoon. Got a few bites but nothing like it had been as late as a week ago. Two days ago, had a decent day but they made us work for it, driving the lake looking for them. Saw no schooling action at all. Anyone having luck after the front?

I went this morning..and did catch about a dozen or so...largest was about 2 pounds most were 1 pounders or less...best bite was earlier in the morning...seemed to be mostly on points and gravely bottoms...I agree bite slowed from last week...and did seem to slow down as the day went on..I was on the water about 7 and off about 3pm...but it was a great day to be on the water and outside...

bite has been solid in the afternoons. Flipping a 7" power worm in 0-4FOW. Middle of the creeks have been the key. Keep a squarebill handy. We've fished the eastern side of Estes Park....hope it helps.

Went today and caught 9. Biggest was 15 1/2 inches long. Saw little ones schooling in 3 different places. Lake has a ton of small fish in it. Still fun to catch and it's always nice to be on the water. Caught them on a watermelon senko, 7 inch red bug worm, small crankbait in shad, and a paddletail fluke in shad in 4 to 10 ft of water. Hope this helps someone.

Hoping to head there this afternoon for a few hours. I got spoiled with 15-20 in a couple of hours. 4 or 5 just seemed slow. But I agree, the weather had been so nice that it is just fun to be on the water

I fished JP on Monday morning. It was great day on the lake, and I caught some fish too! I got 9 from 9-12:30. Big fish was around 3lbs, several other keepers.. the rest small fish. I was fishing a 3/8oz shakey head jig with a Grande Bass 4.75" rattlesnake in watermellon red flake. I have been thinking about that combo for a while and it works really well.. the floating plastic and the shakey head seems to get bit pretty good!

I plan on being there Saturday and Sunday ..... Sun up to sun down. Look for the white Nitro.

Yes it is a slot lake 14-21...is the slot..currently lots of small fish...but it does have some nice size fish as you can see from the previous post my Personal best on Joe Pool is 7.5 pounds..nothing that size this year but several 3,4,5 pounders.

Bobby what kind of boat are you in? If I see you I will wave Just got in and didn't see your past before I went. I'M in an old gold 15' glasstream with a yohatsu motor. If you set me stop bye and say hi. Had a decent evening, mainly throwing a square bill, which I normally never throw. Maybe 12 or 13 in a couple of hours. Shad was everywhere today.

I would be there Saturday morning but my truck went to Louisiana for the weekend so I can't pull the boat. My best luck on Joe Pool has always come from something red (worm, lizard, crankbait--whatever). Other colors have worked too, but Joe Pool seems to be a red lake. Good luck out there and be safe.
Hey--we finally caught one! dwjimages.smugmug.com
