The weather on Lake Fork has been perfect the last couple of weeks and we are catching a lot of fish. We're not catching any really big fish, but a lot of big unders and a few smaller slot fish. It is not uncommon to have a 30+ fish day.
The water temps where I am fishing are starting out in the lower 70's warming up to high 70's low 80's.
I am starting out the mornings fishing the grass way in the backs of the creeks in 1'-5' of water with a Ribbit Frog (Black/White) Some day's we're able to catch fish on this bait throughout the day. Just retrieve it like a buzzbait.
I am also fishing weightless flukes on a #3 rigging hook(Mardi Gras)and some Wacky Worms with a 3/16 weight and #2 Gamakatsu hook (watermelon colors)
I will be fishing a lot this week with some Berkley Baits and will update this post. Hope you all are enjoying the good weather and let me know if I can help.
Thanks, E
