Hello TFF Bass Fishing Fans! Lake Fork is fishing quite well right now and will start to get a bit better as the turnover progresses. You can expect to find more bass and baitfish moving into shallow water right now as they are starting to migrate towards the backs of major creeks. Now that the lake is beginning to turn over I recommend using 3/16 oz dropshots, 3/4 oz carolina rigs, and deep diving crankbaits on points, roadbeds, treelines, and creekbends in 15-25 ft or casting topwaters, spinnerbaits, weightless worms, and swimbaits for shallow feeding bass or schooling bass. Let the weather conditions dictate which techniques you choose to fish. During cloudy or windy weather I prefer to fish shallow around main lake and secondary points in the front 1/2 of major creeks. Look for birds feeding along the bank as they are a great sign of fish activity, especially this time of year! When faced with sunny calm weather conditionsI like to idle over these same points in 15-25 ft and look for baitfish and bass on your electronics. Timing can be key when targeting deep bass so make sure to check spots multiple times throughout the day for the most success. Another tactic that can produce well during sunny days this time of year is flipping jigs, soft plastics and dropshots to stumps in 6-12 ft. To see more tips on how to fish this timm of year and how I was able to catch an 8.84 lb bass in last weekends Big Bass Splash Tournament make sure to check out the video below. Good luck fishing my friends and as always thank you for watching, be safe on the water!

I will try it out, I appreciate you suggesting it sir! Thank you all for the comments and for watching! If you have any particular lures/techniques that you used with success during the 2015 Big Bass Splash Tournament or have confidence in during the turnover on Lake Fork or other lakes please feel free to share!

Thanks for watching/commenting sir! I haven't heard of the Gliss brand line but after reading about it I will most likely be ordering a spool to try out, it looks very interesting! With my spinning rod setups I have seen 17 lb Seaguar fluorocarbon leader line break before my 12 lb NanoFil main line on more than one occasion when hung up. The technology/designs put into these new types of braided lines are quite impressive. NanoFil is very tough and the Gliss line seems to look like it could be an even better product, thanks for the tip! While we are talking about quality products, I absolutely love my Texas Tackle split ring pliers, another very quality tool to have in the boat! I keep them in my crankbait box to make changing out my hooks a breeze!
