Never been there but was thinking of going at the end of the month and can't find too much information about smallmouth this time of year. Anyone know if this is a good time, River condition,places to launch and stay?
It seems lots of the places close about now.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not fishing specific but Marc has put together a large amount of info on the Illinois here: http://southwestpaddler.com/docs/illinois.htmlGood info on access points and campgrounds. Great place to paddle. Especially in the fall.
