I'm looking into the Super Nova lights ( http://www.supernovafishinglights.com/kayak-lights ) for both fishing and protection from the big boats. Are they worth the price or are they a gimmick? I am really new at kayaking so your experience is appreciated.

I'm a fan of the navi safe lights. LED, waterproof, they float if dropped and are coast Guard approved. About $60 per light
