Dang, I thought I was reading a article out of Bassmaster or BassTimes... Very good information. I do not fish tournaments, but I need all the infomation I can get just to find bass and the fun of catching... Then relasing... Not much if any time in the live well....
Hope to meet you some day. Good luck.

A great write-up, Clark!
You may have unknowingly used a literary tool common to ancient writers: Old Testament authors never spared readers details of flaws in plots and characters. Moses stuttered, David was an adulterer . . . you get the idea.
So, when you write of your own experiences, including mistakes, EVERYONE reading along for a vicarious thrill, we identify immediately.

Great read, Clark! Thank you. It's very refreshing to see such a humbling recap. Be proud of yourself for all that you have accomplished! Some people never even make it to the FWC. Keep at it!

Nice write up Clark. Just getting to the Cup is an accomplishment in its self. You had a great year. Your right about Brad Knight, he is one of the good ones. Good luck next season.

Genetics is probably the same for that body of water as it is for the river south of there. I fished the river a lot down in Louisiana and believe me size is not its strong suite but volume is....That being said it seemed like I always picked up my larger fish fishing rock piles; man made, and anywhere there was a small stream of water entering it......might be something to apply to that lake........

Great Read Clark Reehm, Quachita proved to be challenging to nearly every Pro on the water at some point throughout the event. It was to me exactly what you would want a championship lake to be, tough and challenging. The bite changed everyday for most of the guys other than those who relied on the schooling bass for small limits. I like you really wanted to make a statement in this event and at least get some hardware since this would be the last Forest Wood Cup for Co-Anglers. There were 11 keeper fish total boated between me and my two Pro's over the two days I fished. I felt Blessed to hook 4 of them and get them into the boat. What I noticed was that the fish really did not want to bite but a fast moving top water or wake bait would trigger a reaction strike. Already looking forward to 2016 on Tour with a great schedule for both Pro's and Co's. Enjoy your off season it will not last long.

I learned more from this write up than anything I can remember reading about bass fishing. Thank you for this.
You're a good writer and story teller and this must have been a humbling post to author. You're obviously a great angler. Thanks again for posting, I hope you will do more like this in the future and congrats on your qualifying for the cup.

Clark, I don't know you, but your post says a lot about you. Instead of blaming weather, rules, and other easy excuses, you looked within and are taking it as a challenge to better yourself. Will be watching for your name at the top of the board. Keep at it.
