As a general rule, I like to look at the number of liquor stores around the body of water before I fish it.

This one doesn't look real promising grin

You might be the only person fishing with a rod and reel there! Go there with a group and carry a .45 !

the people who have negative thoughts will miss out on good places to fish . thats there loss I have fished it several times , It has a good population of Bass ,Buffalo and carp . I will fish it in the mornings till around 3 .The people are very friendly there early and wont mess with you .. Drinking in the parking lot gets started in the afternoons after the locals have stayed in bed all morning . The North bank is good for bass ,there is some structure that you will find them in on that bank. heres some of the few pics i have carping there

P.B. Carp ....29 lbs .... P.B. Buffalo 34.4

I have only fished it a few times, the north bank, as jesse suggests, and have done well on the bass. Not monsters, but respectable ones.
