Here's one I caught the other day....although I enjoyed tha pull I wish I was closer to tha bank so I coulda feed tha buzzards....Hehehehahahahaaaaaa JK.....1/32oz jig 6lb line....

They are pretty fun to catch though. Do they run the crappie away from the brush piles or do they just accompany them there?

I'd have to say it would depend on the size of each species....
I hate hooking into a bass then it runs into the pile disturbing all the crappie, they are just as bad as catfish....

I can always tell when there's a big bass around where I'm crappie fishing. The crappie stick tight to cover and get right lipped. They know when they come out to thump that jig big green trashfish is right behind em. Happens all the time on Fork.
