Any recommendations for a trailer inspection on the weekend? I don't think just any state inspection place can do trailers can they? Man what a pita!

I am hearing that most motorcycle dealers do it.

Thanks I check into that. I did find a place in Pottsboro but they are closed on weekends. I may just have to drive around Sherman and see what I can find.

Trailer shop in Van Alstyne west side of 75 are open tomorrow till 2pm and can do it. I am in the same boat and need to get mine inspected but am waiting on a lock out solenoid before I can get it done.

If this is for a boat trailer I would suggest speaking with the tax office there in Van Alstyne. They helped get my trailer weight adjusted based on the normal towing load with the boat.

That's interesting. So did you have to get your rig weighed? I know I am probably right on the line though so it probably would be a waste of time for me.

Nope. I just got the weight of the boat from the dealer and the engine weight. Told the lady how much it all weighed and she adjusted it. I have a 21' Legend with a 250 and it was well under the limit. The lady in that office can be really nice if you come with a good attitude.

Gotcha. I will definitely keep that in mind.
My hull totally dry is only 2,200lbs but rigged (4-stroke F150 500lbs?, large t-top, trim tabs, wash down pump, dual batteries, anchors, large coolers with ice, tackle, etc.), 81 gal gas (500lbs right there), with trailer I am guessing close to 5k. I need to weigh it one of these days just to see. Maybe I am way off but it just seems to add up.
