My club did not have any backseats for Friday nights tourney so I slept in and walked 18 at Stephens Park this afternoon, shot a 77. Was surprised after a practice round on Thursday and Fridays Scramble for MACYS, which resembled Tin Cup on the range.

I had a small tournament on Lake Worth. I caught over 25 fish, (I quit counting at 25) all dinks. Not a one over 13 inches. A 5+ won the tournament with only four fish weighing in. Besides that it was a fun day fishing with my wife.

On Athens I had 7 bites and put 5 in the boat.
All between 6am--7am. Then nothing. They started schooling at 8:30 but getting one to hit a lure with all that live bait was tough, so I left at 9:30 to go watch the PGA under the A/C

I did good for me on Athens Friday caught 11 the biggest shock was the parking lot wasn't full

My wife an I had planned to go to Athens Sat morning--but she changed our minds at the last minute. My son is leaving for college in less than a week and she wanted to help him with preparations.

After so many trips since the water came up without a single legal fish I finally caught a chunky two pound bass. That fish meant so much to me ... ended a long drought.

Did alright, won a small BB jackpot on Hubbard with a 6.8 and also had a 4.2 to weigh in. Caught 7 keepers and several short fish.
Fish actually bit for a change...

Lost a good one a frog early. . Then the most aggressive frog bite I've ever seen--stripping line- finally got it close-

Caught 9 yesterday on Lewisville, was off by 11.
Best 3 were the last 3, but not over 3 lbs. I may have found the pattern. Caught 2 dinks with one cast on a jerk bait. Together they would not make 14 inches.
Lewisville is chalked full of 4 - 10" bass. Gonna be some good fishing coming
