Can anyone give me info on this boat going to look at it tomorrow what are things I should look for and how do they ride? Any other info is greatly appreciated

Supposed to be one of Rangers more rough riding boats with a semi-wet ride, not their best model

Look for a transom that has flex or moves or bows when you lift the motor by the cavitation plate, and be aggressive when you lift it. If it flexes, shake hands and say thanks, have a nice day. Goodbye. Look for soft spots in the floor. Compression test the motor and don't expect more than 55 MPH out of that boat. Check everything electrical: trailer lights, batteries, pumps, trolling motor, everything. Lake test, if they won't let you drive it, turn around and keep looking, they're hiding something,

I have a 92' Ranger 364v and they are similar.
I've owned 2 chargers one was 20ft, i've had a 20ft blazer, and 2 rangers... and the 364v is by far the one I most prefer. Its comfortable, simple, tough, and stable.
I have mine rigged with a 2008 Evinrude ETEC 150, and it will do 65 with me and 63 with a passenger and a tournament load. If no one believes an old ranger rated for a 175HP allow me to prove them wrong.
Deck space is not the best, but it can still fish 2 off of it. It will handle chop pretty good if you trim down and ride it out.
If you're around the Midlothian or Waxahachie area, I will be glad to let you take a look at mine and then ride in it at Wax. lake.

I had a 1992 361V for 20 years. A guy wiped it out the freeway 2 years ago or I would be still fishing out of it. Am blessed with the replacement below but this I know: today everyone argues what is the "best bass boat available". Few argued back then. These were hands down the best fishing boat available...at the time. They are built like tanks. My boat slid down the freeway at highway speeds off it's trailer. The 150 Johnson Faststrike was ripped off the back. My boat actually sustained only cosmetic damage(lot's). The transom was still solid as a rock with not even little spider web cracks on the transom. After the 20 years it still had the original Ranger tuck-n-roll upholstery. In 1988 Ranger changed to the fiberglass pulltruded transoms and stringer systems and they have proven to be nearly bullet proof. These Rangers from this era were built with unarguably the highest standards. Great fishing platform that is limited only by it's 17'10" length which was a big bass boat back then. Just because the average bass boat has gone to longer sizes does not change how good these are. I would not be hesitant to purchase one of these "oldies but goodies" if it was a clean and solid one. Mine could have wore out another outboard motor. Good luck, 361V.

I ran a 361 for quite a few years..... I loved it. It was plenty quick with the 175. It does benefit from a jack plate. The year you are looking at has the solid fiberglass transom, so you should be good there. Check the floors for soft spots as, I believe, the floors had encapsulated wood.

Unless you are an outboard mechanic, have a qualified technician check the motor thoroughly. You can spend a bunch of money very quickly on a bad outboard motor!

Very solid boat but check the motor. I had a 363V in 89 and it was a great boat but soon realized I need a single console. The port bench seat was a bit annoying. Not sure what your price range is but I saw this boat a couple weeks ago. Might check to see if the guy still has it. Also the 400 series were good hulls as well. They started making those in 1990.
