Nice pull! Anything in particular that you look for when looking for a tree or stump that could hold crappie? Or do you just go to random trees and try your luck? Also curious about what to use.

I have one of those 80 dollar engle minnow buckets. Don't waste your money, they dont work as good as the cool bubbles. Our minnows were dead by 10 am and we still wacked em to my disbelief. Must have caught 50 to 60 little ones. We started up by 922 bridge on Isle Dubouis side and even went a few more miles north of that. Lots of small fish up there, we moved back down by Indian and caught bigger fish in the 20 to 40 foot depths. Fish were holding between 15 to 22 ft depth.Bois D"arc's and Cedars worked best.

Was wanting to take my son up there and try our luck. Any good crappie at the fishing dock at Isle D'Bois or do you need a boat? Any other ideas? We fish off docks and crappie barges. Thanks! George

Two weeks ago, a marina owner asked why we weren't complaining about loosing minnows when his other customers were. Told him I had an insulated bait-well, frozen water bottles and bubble aerators... I loose very few minnows, even in 100+ degree weather... Gotta keep the water cool, but not too much and through um into shock.

I have kept minnows alive for 3 days in my Engle cooler, in the winter time. Don't have that problem with a Cool Bubbles in the summer time. Got one for sale for $40 bucks if anyone is interesed, used maybe 5 times.
