So right now the only way to get on the water is at the marina at 8am and it may be closed?

Planning a trip Monday but live 2 hours away.

The Sanger News says the Sanger ramp should be open, can anyone confirm that is actually open?

I wish it was true but as far as I've heard all ramps on the lake(including the marina) will be closed for at least 2 more weeks.

Just an opinion but when looking at the ramps from the water, IDB, Sanger, and Pond Creek could easily be opened. To me there is something other than water level and clean up keeping the ramps closed. The clean up at the smaller ramps is a matter of a couple of hours work for a very small crew. I think this is a fema money thing or something political like that.

Been fishing the lake regularly since 1995 and the fish are still messed up. We have not found them in normal summer areas, and for us it has been very slow! I think sand bass and crappie guys are doing good.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

Since we are opining... I believe the theory is to let the sub-surface around the ramps to dry out first. With the repairs already needed at the marina, I think they are on sound footing waiting for more solid and dry ground at the transitions before opening the ramps. Private money vs. public money... I hate that they are closed, but can understand a need to wait a little longer too.

really? I think it's to let the ground dry underneath the roads and ramps so that they aren't damaged

Roads have been high and dry for a while now and ramps are always under the water!

If you have a TPWD annual membership do you still need to get a permit or can you just launch any time like you used to.
