Tough day on Palestein but I learned a new technique.Atfer about 20 try's I was in the zone.... First time shooting docks was a lil tough but I did pick up a couple,went out with Jason today and we did manage a few,we ended up with 16 nice slabs.Fished docks,timber and brush but those sac a lait did not want to co operate. We'll get'em next time.....Tight lines

I can see me having to dig a hook out of my finger. LOL. About 20 years ago, I remember about 20 years ago someone had made an actual trigger that you put on your rod for that. You could put as much tension as you needed on it, aim it then pull the trigger. It could make some really long casts and was really accurate. I guess it never sold because I never saw them again.

I too found out i takes a little practice to get that dock shooting down....Like you said,get'em next time....nice slab.

See that tool at the end of the video? I looked for one but could not find one so I took a cheap screwdriver (standard tip) and ground it down to make it smaller. Then I ground a V-notch and cut about half the handle off to make it lighter. Then I put on one of those retractable yo-yo lanyards which I wear around neck so it is always there. The 'thing' works great and keeps me from having to reach for pliers all the time.
