What do you guys here use in the Texas heat for headgear? My gimme caps do not cover my ears or neck and I've had all the skin cancers I need. Maybe I'm fishing too late or too early.

I wear the Cabela's Guidewear flats cap. It's very light and breathable, and has panels you can unfold to drape over the neck and ears. Plus a keeper clip so it doesn't blow off in the wind.

Outdoor Research hat, buffs, and sleeves are great. I have some other brands, but I have a big noggin and many of the Outdoor Research brand offerings are available in XL that fit me way better than other brand XL or one site fits all

I use the Buff UVX Mask Multifunctional Headwear that I picked up from ACK. I like it because it has the shoulder flaps to protect the neck/shoulders plus covers the head including the ear. I start with it around my neck until the sun gets high enough to need it then I pull it up and put my ball cap over the top. This coupled with wearing long sleeve and sun gloves leaves me protected from the sun. The Buff material is made that as you are sweating the Buff evaporates the sweat quickly and actually cools you off. I have spent 6+ hours on the water and was very comfortable. The only problem is that since you are sweating but not noticing the sweat you need to make sure you drink plenty of water even though you are not thirsty.

I use a buff pulled up over my ballcap too. The other styles of hats are too floppy in the wind and the neck covers sometimes blow up leaving your neck exposed.

I use the bigger billed , Bright Orange hat from Bass Pro. I cross channels, and PB idiots running the flats - flat out. I like visibility.
