Just curious as to what everyone's favorite (productive)way to fish this time of year is. My personal favorite is a big 10 or 12 inch worm t rigged.

Man I've been giving drop shotting the ol college try this summer and I haven't had a bite one. It's just not something I'm confident with I mean it's tried and true but never panned out for me. Got any tips?

Got any tips? Light line if you don't already use it, 10lb or less. Try bridge pylons, or schools of fish if you can graph them. Just need to gain some confidence with it

I've been making myself throw a football jig deep quite a bit this year. It hasn't sucked completely.

Thanks for the drop shot tips.
Frogs are fun to fish this time of year I bought some lunkerhunt frogs early this year and I've have pretty good hookup ratios with them, all the review I've seen on them are not too good I haven't caught any monsters with one yet but the legs haven't ripped off on me . Not my favorite frog but nothing to throw rocks at.

-Spook at day break; followed with a spinner bait right back through the same area. -Move to the second drop with a spinner bait and crank bait on the last brush line. -Move to deep water irregular features on the sides of points in 25 ft. of water with light C-rig and a brush hog.

I've been making myself throw a football jig deep quite a bit this year. It hasn't sucked completely. Back when I bass fished regularly I did the same thing. I forced myself to use that jig and pig and got skunked many times. But then I started catching some pigs and got my confidence back. I found the jig worked better for me winter and spring months and a Carolina rigged worm, creature, French fry, or lizard worked better for me in deep water summer patterns. But to each his own. Sometimes you have to force yourself out of your comfort zone and into things that aren't so comfortable to you. Especially when you are just out pleasure fishing or what some call practicing. Back when I fished every single weekend I relied heavily on the texas rigged power worm. I felt like I could catch fish anywhere at any depth. That's all I found myself throwing. One day I realized I had an arsenal of tackle I needed to try. That's when fishing got fun. I got good with a lot of different tactics and baits and was a much better bass angler because I tried some other things and read alot.
