Bryan O' Angler B Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 364 Cypress Texas	I also have a 250 Pro XS, and originally they recommended the Premium Plus for the XS motors, not the DFI. However about 2 years ago they changed and now recommend the DFI for the XS's. I just stuck with the Premium Plus (now says synthetic blend), because it has been working all along. Why change? The bigger issue is to be sure to use a fuel additive for today's junk gas. There are great discussions on this at the Merc. 3.0 page at BBC. Over there they said the tw0 will mix OK, but like said above, run out as much as safely possible before changing. Hope this helps, Bryan O' Total Recreation Products Inc. I look at it like this; GM recommends GM oil and Ford Recommends Ford Oil, etc...
