Lots of reasons and if more people could get on the area lakes I believe they would be seeing lots of dead fish caused by alga bloom, rotting vegetation, farm land fertilizer and others.
All lake systems have been effected by high water and this puts the water stability out of whack. I suspect many species of fish will suffer the consequences.

Last weekend at Arlington I counted about 10 dead sand bass a little bigger than a 10xd at different areas of the lake. Figured it was normal.

What part of the lake did you find the dead shad? How were you able to get on the water?

Hope I can find a place to fish next weekend...we have a family gathering and will be staying on the base at the BLORA cabins....not boating just up there to have a good time....lot of bank fishing I guess.

They opened the gates wide up she's dropping fast. Franks boat ramp is now open I bet Blora won't be too far behind if it's not already open, just give them a call.
