http://www.hookedonbass.com/Hire this guy your first day. Super friendly, one heck of a fisherman and will show you areas to take your yaks for the rest of your trip.

Beautiful clear water, though they have had a lot of rain up there, too. 10-15 feet viz is very common on TR. Fish topwaters and buzz baits early around bluffs or docks, soft plastics carolina or texas rigged later in the day for bass. In general, fish lighter line and deeper during the day than what you'd normally do in Texas. Great trout fishing below the TR dam on Upper Taneycomo, should be good yakfishing there, too, if the releases from the dams aren't too great. 2 pound mono, a small foam float, a white mini-jig and some polarized glasses and waders and you're all set for trout. Some of the best motorcycling roads in the US in that neck of the woods, too...you'll see:) Spent a lot of time on the FJ1100 on those twisty Ozark two-lanes.

Don't know much about Table Rock but I get to fish Taneycomo once a year. It is fantastic. The average size of trout has really grown in recent years. My last two summer trips we caught limits each day with no problem. Good ones too. We rented a pontoon from Lilly's Landing and had a great time. Lilly's Landing is a neat place.

+1 on Lilly's Landing. Great place and they have a nice dock to fish off of as well. Great trout fishing and their very good eating. Used power eggs on drift rigs.
