Trying to write this post i'm at a loss. No doubt this flood has been crippling to say the least. Best winter ever for trophy fish then turned into worst spring we can recall. This lake rose so fast and both rivers pounded us with mud. We fish along the mudline with under average results then RAMBO fishing worked for 5 days then poof gates open/spillway goes over. No joke the entire lake known as TEXOMA is red and mud going thru floodgates and over spillway. Lake fishing spotty at best so tried the river...i was not the 1st but around the 3rd to do it. My first couple days the red river was clearer and mud had not reached spillway yet. Fishing was good enough on top and sassy to make a trip it was cool. Caught some in the trees so then some guys started tying up to the trees so i found some down in another eddie but mud ruined that hole. Then when the mud came, plus more and more boats came, clouds went away and my trips turned into 2-7 fish outings with only a small window for me to catch em on topwater. One thing before the boats and mud i was having some luck putting boat in an eddie the cast into current let it dump your spool the aggressive action of the sassy back to boat would get a strike. Then after it got crowded several times we caught lines and no fish so i was like this cant work. Guys sinking trucks lots of getting stuck and boats getting damaged Then my tilt and trim went out and i noticed all this... that scratch bow to stern...under water culvert pipe in the pitch black and a few of these tine tip about non existent Ok game warded Jay Harvey did get a NPB on top 20.02 that eve we pounded 7 at last light and lost a few all on plugs Brandon got NPB as well 14.4 my oldest son ate it up he loved it May and June 2 of our busiest months and its just plain tough moving and canceling all these charters. The few days we are getting out last 2 weeks are met with little to no luck. We are offering all trips to move back unless they want to go with a warning that we may zero out. Heard whispers of some action but 2 of last 3 times out i have zeroed. Either me or jimmy been checking every 2-3 days but only getting fish if they get on a feed. Seems you find something working one day then its like it never happened. If the school up and feed you can get some fish on top.sassy or slab otherwise we cant get em to strike at any lures. Lake is messed up. I have more videos of river but why bother its depressing!

I know it is tough up there right now. Hopefully it will settle down soon. Your boat has taken a pounding. I know a good fibefglass shop in Gainesville. If you want to go out and just fish and have a peaceful day, you are always welcome to go with me but, you have to bring some jerky

I feel for all the guides on the flooded lakes. I know it's tough financially when the bills pile up and the cash stops coming in. I also work in an industry that is highly effected by the weather, so I can empathize. Better days are ahead. You have a good business built on customer service. Things will get better soon.

Hang in there Chris. Everyone is antsy to get back on the water and once the water goes down a bit they'll come flocking. Good thing is there will be water enough to get some good fishing in.

Sorry to hear that, Chris. Mother nature going through her menstrual cycle? Doh! But you did have a long and phenomenal winter. And that can't be taking away

Brutal. To me, it's almost like fishing was cancelled for this year. Every lake I fish is muddy and almost impossible to fish.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

Solid post! Sorry to read about the damage on your boat! Hopefully things will improve providing we don't get anymore major rain events.
