Wife and I went to Fork with another couple Saturday evening. Got set up under a bridge, ate some BBQ and watched the sun set. Checked the radar one more time and saw a huge storm heading our way. Sat there for 10 minutes and then decided to go to the ramp and wait it out. It was moving slow so we just sat in the boat and waited and watched. The closer is got the more it dissipated. Finally at 10:45, we decided to go back out. Did not slam them but we brought home 15 and had a blast. Most were 16". Fish are huge on this lake! I look forward to trying it again.

Sounds like a good trip with the better half, glad you got into them. Better safe than sorry with those storms - they can sneak up on ya!

I too grew up night fishing on Hubbard with my dad. It was a way to get me out fishing while he and his buddies were freed up enough to drink his beer. We caught boat loads of sandies. We were under the west side of the I-30 bridge one night on the trusty ol 18th pylon when we heard a big splash come from way down the bridge. We heard a few days later they pulled a body out of the lake.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!
