The reservoir release page shows that the water levels at Lake Waco and Lake Aquilla are back to normal. Why are the boat ramps still closed?

Letting the ground dry out underneath the pavement.
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

It was reported that Aquilla would open back up this weekend. Reportedly Saturday morning. It was only about 1/2' high. That was prior to the heavy rains Wednesday. It is now just under 4' high again so..........who knows? I have heard the "drying out period" policy but the portion of the ramp that remains under water never gets a "drying period". Again......who knows? It has been interesting to watch the different philosophy's and practices for managing the recent rains, rises and floods by the different governing bodys. I live riverfront on the Brazos by Glen Rose and we have had some impressive water going by but the BRA has kept PK and Granbury just BELOW full pool this entire time.
