Baker park in Sherman is good fishing right now it's full and dirty in a few days it should clear up. I know there are some good bass there and some great crappie when you can find them. Not to far from there there's a park called pecan grove I am there most of the time fishing for bass.Crappie are good when you can find them and lots of 4 inch catfish. Personnel best out of pecan grove is 8.06 lbs. It is very dirty right now I never have luck when it gets this dirty.

I will check Herman Baker later this week and report back as to it's condition. I fished Waterloo Thursday afternoon with no luck. Still really dirty. I'll try Herman this Thursday as well.

Looks like it's time to work on the patience game and your worm technique.

Yes, you will need a cart in most cases as the parking lots are quite a distance from the lake. I've fished it for years. Be careful around the rip rap as there are usually a lot of snakes this time of year. It's a great bass and crappie lake.

Went out on Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours. Awesome little park that looks like it should be full of fish. Unfortunately only had a couple of bits but that was on me. Bait fish were jumping everywhere!!! We will be back.
Where in the lake did you catch them?

Outstanding and thank you. I will definitely stay away from the rip rap to avoid snakes.
I see the fly pole, I need to give that a whirl. I've fly fished for trout a few times and loved it, now I've gotta try it for bass.
