Just called the TRWD hotline. She said Bridgeport is releasing water like crazy and the inflow into Eagle MT takes 2-3days which is causing floating hazards. They have huge floating logs in the outflow upstream so until the discharge of Bridgeport stops EM will be closed she guessed. Could be a week.

She said it looks calm now at EM but Bridgeport's outflow is littered with floating hazards which will make the inflow of EM dangerous for a few days. Lake Worth will be getting all the water from BP and EM.

I assume BP will open fist then EM then LW.

Nice lady.

Most of the floaters got washed down a couple of weeks ago. I wouldn't believe that...besides...you don't close a lake because of floaters.

The closures are a result of inflows created by heavy rainfall in recent days. Wakes created by boaters could potentially flood low-lying homes at both reservoirs. In addition, rising lake levels and debris could create hazardous conditions for other recreational activities.

I don't think the concern right now is a few guys missing out on some fishing. They are concerned with trying to prevent further damage to lakeside homes and businesses. The fishing can wait a bit as the rest is more important.

1.6 ft above normal and TRWD shut the lake down.

Think about that people.... 1.6 ft above normal

TRWD never expects the lake to be normal or hold water. They flush it down strem to flush Poluted Lake Worth. Lockheed Martin has ruined Lake Worth you can't even eat fish outta that lake but they make sure it always has water vs EM.

Gotta love government contracts

You need to do a little more fact checking then.

Only advisories, no bans, and nothing to do with Mercury.

"Lake Worth in Tarrant County
Chemicals of Concern:Polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), aldrin, dieldrinPersons should not consume blue catfish, channel catfish or smallmouth buffalo from these waters.
This replaces a previous advisory issued in 2000."

Actually the consumption ban on Worth has been lifted for a while now, you wont find a big article on it being lifted anywhere but it has been. Lake Worth is water supply for Ft Worth, they will drain EM and Bridgeport to make sure the water on Worth stays above the level that the pumps can pull from. Has nothing to do with "flushing" the lake of pollutants. The pollution was from a plane that crashed off the end of the runway with full fuel tanks and the fact that Worth is an old lake that withstood the times when people used to dump hazmat anywhere they wanted. Its the same old tired misinformed rumor mill about Worth. Comes up a few times a year and is usually not even close to factual.

I worked at LM for two years. I've seen first hand where their "mishaps" go... Straight into lake worth.

With a multi billion gov contract they do what they please and put out propaganda to support the agenda which you sheeps follow.

Tell ya what... I'll cook you some fresh sandbass from LW and I dare you to eat it smile
