The Frio ran above 5000 CFS for four days at derby. It took five days for that water to get to Tilden. It will take another couple days for it to register at choke. But we should gain several feet.

Now if they'll just leave the gates alone at the dam! As I type this there is some heavy rain headed for the upper Frio.

More rain pounding the rivers today, just crazy how it can't rain for 5 years and then rain every freaking day.

I wanted to get out and fish this morning but I saw the weather report, and they had upped it to 50% for just about the entire morning so I didn't get out. Turned out the weather liars were wrong again! It was a beautiful morning with just enough cloud cover to make it bearable with the humidity.

Noticed the lake came up a whopping 0.23 since yesterday with all the water coming in, so looks like the lake will be full in no time!....I'm being sarcastic!

Picked up a foot from yesterday and probably has about 3 more days of decent water coming down the Frio. Should end up at 201'-202' (under 20' low!!). ....and then there's the Nueces right down the road on 16 still in major flood stage for the next 5 days (going on over two weeks straight in some type of flood stage). If only those Nueces rains feel a little further North.

I think its funny, lake corpus christi is at 96 percent. all this rain and they still will not keep it 100 percent full They have had to let water out to prepare for what is coming down the nueces. If not, they would have had to let a huge amount of water out at once and cause uncontrolled flooding downstream. This way they can control how much is let out and have room to keep some in the lake to do so. By the time it's all said and done it will be at 100%.
