Does anyone know of any dirt roads or anything to launch a boat from on Lewisville or Grapevine. I know all ramps on the lake are closed, but I'm about tired of sitting around, and I've tried to find such places myself with no luck. Please help!!!!

Think of the damage a wake would cause...please stay off the lake until it goes down.

saw some guys had launched the other day on Ray Roberts from roadside next to 377, decent sized trailer but couldn't see the boat good enough, a little far away. I would have been scared to get stuck but maybe they had help lined up just in case. Don't think their wakes hurt any trees there....although I would have been too scared to put up any wake !! If I can get john boat out of pasture I'm gonna look for places/roads on Ray Roberts and Texoma to launch.

Ray Hubbard is only +1.06 and last weekend I launched from the ramp off 66 east of George Bush. That is a public ramp that is open and free.

Lewisville is closed to all boats. Houses are about 1/2 from getting flooded. Boat wakes will do damage and there is enough to rummage around and try to collect all your belongings around the water already. Gladly the water seems to have stopped rising. Hybrids are going CRAZY and eating like they never saw a minnow before, big ones, very close to shore too.

Guess it's time to get a bucket of minnows & find a likely shoreline spot.

I think when they say the lake is closed, I think it means it closed for any and all boat traffic. But then again, I like the saying of "Job Security".

Guess it's time to get a bucket of minnows & find a likely shoreline spot. It is probably pretty tough to find a bank fishing location with public access.

You might try the parking lot at the Oak Point boat ramp. It is about 10 feet under water right now.

yea the lake is closed completely. I was out there at 121 pier and talked to some PR and GW. Closed! They had a problem with people walking out to see the spill way. Cops all over. Not sure if tickets were being written.

I'd be willing to bet, that with no one on the lake, expect for all the fish and such just doing their natural thing with no interruption or boat traffic, it'll be game on for those sandies and hybrids. I, personally think. That the fishing wasn't that good because the cut was so shallow. But we wil see when we all can get back on the water. I think it'll be on fire!!!

Somewhat fully under water. The old pump station is just above the water line. Crazy! Give youtube a look tons of drone clips.
