Anyone know if 380 is open at Runaway Bay? My son in law said they were filling sand bags at the store
on the South side of the road yesterday when he went thru.

I am wanting to know if the highway is open. We are going to Denton and I was told the State Troopers were closing the highway because water was over the road this afternoon.

I was there at 7:30 PM. The road lacked about 1 foot from being over the road at Runaway Bay. It only lacked 6" being on the roadway just east of the Trinity River bridge between Runaway Bay and the city of Bridgeport. It was already on the shoulder of the road. TXdot was at that site monitoring the water level. The road was not closed at that time. The water is rising and hasn't reached it's peak yet. Depends on when you are going you might check out txdot road closures before you go. They could close it at any time, depending on how much water is on the roadway itself.
