Got a 21XS and love it. Best fishing platform I've ever owned or fished out of.

I have the TR-186 and absolutely love it. Hand laid hull with absolutely no wood in the boat, well kind of. The two kick panels under the consoles are wood. Not much there if you had to replace. Takes rough water well and fishes like a much bigger boat. Did I say I love my boat.
Life is one big playground. Be sure to ride all the rides before it closes.

I have an 04 21x and used to have a 00 tr20. The best layout in my opinion for rods , tackle and misc. storage. The consoles, (or console my 21x is a single) are right in the middle of the boat making for lots of leg room for a tall person and a great ride in any type of water. One drawback is they tend to be weight and balance sensitive. If you are by yourself they want to lean toward the right especially on take off. They do chine walk. Period. But set-up adjustments and seat time will remedy this. If you are not trying to go maximum speed all the time then no worries. I know there will be some that say mine doesn't walk, but both I have owned did. My 21x will start at about 64 MPH but if you catch it early she will run mid 70's.

+1 on the TR 186. I've rode in a lot of 18-19 ft boats and this rides better than any of the rest I've been in. It, by no means, rides like a 20 ft boat. You should be very happy with TR 21.
Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

No doubt it will take some getting used to. My old boat was 17.5 and topped out about 48..... And this one is 20 years newer.. An upgrade for sure

Triton changed the boats in 2002. Check the length. From what I remember the 2001 tr 21 was only 20 ft. I maybe wrong but I would double check

I maybe wrong but I would double check Maybe 20' 10" for the 21 footer, great boat, you may need a little seat time if you have not been in a pad boat, takes a little while to keep it from chime walking at high speeds, I have had 5 of them, and my son has had three, no disappointments.

I've got a 1997 TR-17. Great boats. Very well made and very stable fishing platform.
