How is Alan Henry fishing since it caught all the water?

Lots of new vegetation obviously. Water isn't as muddy as I thought it would be. Was out there yesterday and it was tough. Managed 3 small spots. Fished from about 3pm to 8pm. Most everybody else that I talked to had a tough day as well.

Yes when I went last week it was tough as well. Didn't fish West of the ramp at all, wayyyy too muddy for my liking. I fished about 4 hours and only managed 4 spots. A lot of new water, structure, etc and I guess the fish were just too busy exploring their new areas to give my worm any attention.

I'm going to try to go this week and see what I can do. I hope it settles out and the fish bite. I appreciate the info.

Friday night Working Man's tournament yielded stringers of 2-11, 2-8, 2-7 I believe for top 3 places with big fish of 1-8.
I weighed 2 fish for 1-15.
Fished yesterday evening and caught three small dinks.
Small fish in new cover biting like crazy, guess they just aren't taking in the hook completely. I've been missing a TON of fish on flukes. Fished last Monday evening and caught a bunch on a buzz bait including one 16" spot. Everything else was less than 12".
Sure wish they would get rid of the only 2 under 18" rule for the spots.

Yes sir Alan Henry is the closest lake for me, and I wish they would go to the Texas standard 14" minimum for spots. I do enjoy catching the spots from time to time but would love to see that lake back to what it was in the mid 2000s.

You can go read the report I put up in the Freshwater Fishing Reports section about the Friday night working man's T. Kevin Izzi and I fished it and we caught over 15 fish. Missed a couple of fish to improve our weights, but they were biting the flukes/blue fleck worms weightless and Texas rigged. Missed two big ones as they hit them on the head and they just flushed out and didn't bite the bait. I had a GOOD one on my Texas rigged craw worm that took me into a tree. Probably 6-8 lbs, as I had NO control over her and she was stripping drag until she got into the base of a tree. Hope this helps.
Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.
