You can get started for about 100-300 depending on what your wanting to do. I have less than 500 in everything I have including 70 or so paint colors.

Probably my favorite stock color is citrus shad, and I really like the bone base. It made sense to combine them together to try out. Thanks for the positive feedback guys, I'll hopefully be testing it out next week.

Those are sweet brad. I like the top pic best. Maybe bring a little more of the turquoise down onto the gill plate (very light) and a tiny turquoise lateral line (not a completely clean line) with that smaller yellow line down the center of it (clean just like you have it). One more very nice job. Well done.

Nice work Brad . Took one of my "sorta' kinda' but not really a Citrus Shad" lures to the city park lake and threw it a few times to see how the colors looked in sunlight. Iridescent colors have a flash in direct sunlight that look really close to the real thing....so you're on the right track using them on your Citrus Shad lures.

Probably already know this, but spraying in layers will allow the turquoise shade CW is looking for. That bone color will make a great base for the turquoise iridescent shade along the shoulders...do fish have shoulders??? Then the blue back, stripe and kill dot....pretty paint job Brad

The bait is based in bone then iridescent yellow over the "shoulders" followed by iridescent turquoise scale mask, then iridescent blue back. I agree on the fat papa's I need to come down just a little further with the scale mask, I had originally planned to do the scale mask across the top with all three colors. Just had a change in plans during the paint job.

I'm also thinking I need to build a stencil for the pectoral fins so I can add just a little color to them on all the fat papa's I have been painting, maybe just a real faint transparent orange or yellow border shading to make the fins pop.
