I fished in college as well, unfortunately our was a club and we received only $500 per year for travel allowance. Which covered hotels for a few tournaments, the rest was out of pocket. IF you can help it, I would highly suggest avoiding those situations because it came to the point that we had to pick and choose which tournaments to fish. FLW us to give a travel allowance which helped a little, but I don't know if they do anymore. I saw 1st place go from $5000 down to $2000 for first place so they made cutbacks. Good luck where ever you end up!
