Went to Texoma today, as its been a week since I went fishing. Forescast looks like the monsoon will continue for another week. Could have also gone tuesday but I figured the only chance was to beat the flood before it hit the lower end of the lake. The ramp at Eisenhower was flooded. I could not believe how high the water was. With the water rising a guy kmight find his car flooded if he left in in that parking lot. Water still was not muddy at the dam but all the ramps were closed due to flooding other than the corp ramp. The corp ramp had about a three foot high pile of flotsam ( wood chips, Styrofoam, plastic, etc) piled up with a thhick skip of similar material that looked pretty nasty. I decided not to launch the boat. I went over to the Okie side to check things out. The Washita is coming in very muddy and red. Saw entire tree floating down that thing. Looks like Texoma fisherman will get a taste of the snags we have at PK until they figure out where those big trees have settled. ( might make a good crappie spot later)

Fishing has been really good buddy. You have to be careful not to run over the debris like this. But the fish are still biting on the big pond. Here's today's haul.

I don't see how your catching those fish in that muddy water. I bet it ain't umbrella rigs. Maybe you can make a video "stripers in muddy water".
Since the ramps are all closed taking a guide trip may be the only way go. Even if you have a slip it might be cheaper than a new lower unit after you hit one of those sunken pecan trees.

I bet he is using his graph to find the fish. I also bet he ( a great guide by the way )has been fishing Texoma so long that he knows how to catch fish in any situation. Just saying,. Nice report John

Maybe so. John was pulling big limits last summer when the fishing got real tough. Right now, I'd settle for just being able to launch my boat and the water being clear.
