I'm fishing Welsh this weekend, reckon there are any quality fish still shallow? Besides the LOP discharge pipe, what other areas can I find good fish? Main lake points outside the grass with a deep diving crank and c-rig? I have very limited experience on this lake and really have only fished it in cold weather. I certainly appreciate any input fellas, thanks in advance.

I don't have advice, but as an amateur in this game I am wondering how you do, a hot water lake in warm weather... if you don't mind posting your results and thoughts after it's over.

If the LOP pipe isnt pumping you are probably wasting time. I would look for the grass edge in deeper water.good luck

Power plant lakes fish just fine in the warmer months as long as its not too hot to be out there fishing. I have had some insane days on them in May-August fishing both shallow and deep and clearly recall a day I had a 33+ pound best 5 day fishing in 2-4' of water with water temps in the 96-100 degree range. I just don't tend to fish more than about 6-11am if the air temp is more than about 85.
